WarmVox provides tools to monitor your vocal development over time. This guide explains how to use the progress tracking features to measure improvement and maintain motivation.
Benefits of Progress Tracking
Tracking your vocal progress helps you:
- Identify improvements in range, control, and stamina
- Maintain motivation by visualizing growth
- Recognize patterns in your practice habits
- Set realistic goals based on your development rate
- Identify areas that need more attention
Enabling Progress Tracking
Progress tracking is optional and can be enabled in Settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Exercise Settings
- Find the Exercise History option
- Toggle it to On
- Choose how long to retain history (30 days, 90 days, 1 year, or Forever)
- Optionally enable Detailed Metrics for more comprehensive tracking
Types of Progress Data
WarmVox tracks several aspects of your vocal practice:
Practice Metrics
- Session Frequency: How often you practice
- Session Duration: How long you practice
- Exercise Types: Distribution of breathing vs. scale exercises
- Consistency Score: Measure of regular practice habits
Breathing Exercise Metrics
- Breath Control Duration: How long you can sustain controlled exhalation
- Breath Capacity: Relative measure of your lung capacity
- Control Consistency: Steadiness of your breath flow
- Exercise Difficulty Progression: How you've advanced in exercise complexity
Scale Exercise Metrics
- Vocal Range: Your current comfortable and extended range
- Pitch Accuracy: How precisely you hit target notes (if using pitch detection)

Viewing Your Progress
Access your progress data in several ways:
Progress Dashboard
- From the home screen, tap Progress
- View summary cards for key metrics
- Tap any card to see detailed information
- Use the time range selector to view different periods
Exercise-Specific Progress
- Open any exercise
- Tap the History icon
- View your history with this specific exercise
- See how parameters have changed over time
Progress Reports (Premium Feature)
- From the Progress screen, tap Generate Report
- Select the time period and metrics to include
- Choose PDF or spreadsheet format
- Save or share the generated report
Understanding Progress Visualizations

Setting Goals
Create personalized vocal development goals:
- From the Progress screen, tap Goals
- Tap Create New Goal
- Select a goal type:
- Range Extension (e.g., "Extend high range by 3 semitones")
- Practice Consistency (e.g., "Practice 5 days per week")
- Exercise Mastery (e.g., "Complete advanced breathing exercise")
- Custom Goal (define your own parameters)
- Set a target date
- Optionally enable reminders
- Track progress toward your goal on the Goals screen
Progress Insights
WarmVox analyzes your data to provide personalized insights:

Exporting Your Data
Export your progress data for external analysis or backup:
- Go to Settings > Data & Privacy
- Tap Export Data

- Select a format (CSV, JSON, or PDF)
- Choose a destination (email, cloud storage, or local file)
Tips for Effective Progress Tracking
- Be Consistent: Track every practice session for the most accurate data

Privacy Considerations
Your progress data is private by default:
- Data is stored locally on your device
- Cloud backup is optional and can be enabled/disabled
- Anonymous usage statistics are separate from your personal progress data
- You can delete all progress data at any time via Settings
